Representative Director Seiichi Mizuno
Appointed Representative Director in 2020.
Has been involved in the industry for 25 years, specializing in metal processing and reinforcing steel processing.
Holds the Core Skills Certification and manages construction sites with his highly skilled workmanship and extensive knowledge.
We wanted to respond to the increasingly complex steel reinforcement processing required for infrastructure construction and deliver products in shorter lead times.
Previously, we used a single bending machine for processing, which resulted in human error and inaccuracies. When bending a single piece in multiple directions, we had to manually adjust the settings each time, which was time-consuming and resulted in low productivity.
In addition, we faced the challenge of only having a limited number of skilled workers who could handle complex processing.
During the introduction process, we were introduced to the Manufacturing Support Grant by a sales representative from Toyo, and we were able to utilize the grant to implement the system.
We introduced the TUB-32-1-NCV, which can process complex shapes such as upper and lower bending.
We found it appealing that automation would reduce errors compared to previous processing with a single bending machine.
Additionally, we believe that productivity will improve because once the machine is set up, it can bend in multiple directions.
Once the operation method is learned, anyone can perform processing, which should reduce the burden on specific employees.
Touch panels are now used to set bending shapes, dimensions, and angles, eliminating the need for skilled workers and reducing errors from an average of ±5 mm to ±12.5 mm to ±1 mm.
The up-and-down bending function has reduced processing time from 3 minutes to 1 minute. This time savings has increased the average daily processing tonnage from 2 tons to 3 tons.
Additionally, the built-in piece counter has reduced delivery delays caused by quantity errors that were previously discovered at the delivery stage.
Since anyone can operate the machine after learning how to use it, it is suitable for our company, which re-employs individuals over 60 years old.
Since we can now process complex shapes for infrastructure construction, we aim to take on jobs involving special shapes.
We also plan to improve our ability to respond quickly to urgent orders.
