Career

Aiwa Iron Works Co., Ltd. is a company that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018 and manufactures and sells residential foundation reinforcing steel units.
It has been adopted by many customers, including major domestic housing manufacturers, regional quality builders, and construction companies, and has grown through innovation and creativity.

Background to Introduction

Due to the deterioration of the cutting machine that had been in operation, resulting in a decrease in operating speed, we decided to consider updating it in order to improve productivity.
For reinforcing bars used in residential foundations, the main sizes range from 10 mm to 22 mm in diameter. The new machine offers the advantage of being able to select cutting lengths from short to long. Additionally, as part of our efforts to promote automation and labor-saving measures, we adopted the 『TFC-300SSV』cutting machine, which addresses inventory issues for cut materials and reduces cycle times.

Key points of introduction

In order to streamline the rebar cutting line, TOYO representatives and designers visited the site numerous times and held detailed discussions, resulting in the introduction of the TFC-300SSV, which can handle long lengths and select drop positions up to 900 mm.
By customizing the system to accommodate large-scale cutting with a large-capacity stocker, addressing bulk handling requirements, and enhancing the supply system to withstand mass production, we anticipate further improvements in productivity and labor savings.
The intuitive pictogram-based touch panel, which can be operated intuitively even when operators change, is a particularly appealing feature.

Effects after introduction

With the introduction of the TFC-300SSV, it has become possible to quickly and efficiently cut multiple pieces of rebar required for residential foundation rebar processing.
In addition, rubber products are used for the transport rollers, reducing noise during operation. Furthermore, the touch panel operation uses simple images (pictograms), making it possible to operate intuitively.
This has enabled us to achieve improved productivity, reduced physical strain on employees, and time savings through operational efficiency.

Future Prospects

We anticipate improved productivity due to the reduced cycle time.
To create a workplace where employees can work comfortably and find fulfillment in their work, we plan to continue investing in automation and labor-saving measures as needed in the future.
